no windows on laptop

Today, I removed the Windows partition and moved my home directory into the freed up space. I followed the instructions from the IBM linux site and they worked fine. I did notice that in fdisk, the former windows partition was still shown as an ntfs partition so I used the fdisk command to change it to a linux partion (code 83). Parted had shown the partion as a linux partion so I don't think I really needed to change the code in the paartion table, but I like everything to be in sync.

In about a week or so I will delete the contens of the old home partition. At some point I may expand the root partion but it's not anything I need to do anytime soon.
