remove windows from my lap top

I have had my laptop for over a year now and it has been a dual boot system. I have a 60 gig hard drive and 20 gig (33%) is used for windows. I have not used windows on this machine in over a year and I am now seriously thinking of removing it and using the space for my home directory. I worry that once I do this, I will for some reason have to use windows, but logic tells me that this is not going to happen. Once I do this, there is really no going back since I will have moved my home directory. I am going to wait a few more days and see if I still feel confident that I will not have a need for windows (I do have windows only machines available to me.
